Is it really worth it?
I know several people who do not dare leave the convenience of home to venture on a trip with their kids. And I always think “why are we doing this Ugh” as I am packing, in the car, on an airplane or just all out frustrated with the mishaps of traveling. I have been the one with the crying baby on an overnight flight, throw up in my hair and alone with baby on an eight hour lay over. But, this is what would happen at home anyway, so why not get out and soak in the benefits of being a family and experiencing new things together. The best part is looking at the pictures and making videos of the time together when we are back in our cozy home.
Get on out and see the world and allow your children to learn with you. There are many ways to prepare for all of those travel kinks that may come your way. The lessons of travel such as culture, patience, flexibility and appreciation of beauty will be invaluable and surpass any amount of lost luggage.
To answer the above question – YES, it is worth it
